Weleda Baby Range

Weleda Baby products are made from genuinely natural ingredients, including precious plant oils of almond and sesame, soothing extracts of calendula and chamomile, and gentle essential oils of lavender, orange and ylang ylang - warming, nourishing, hydrating and nurturing. Organic calendula and chamomile contribute natural anti-inflammatory properties to soothe your baby's skin.

Weleda Baby products are free from synthetic additives, colours or perfume, and artificial preservatives such as parabens. They use just enough essential oils to preserve the products and ensure they smell great, naturally. They avoid mineral oils (such as petroleum or paraffin) as these can clog the pores. Plant-based oils are more closely related to the sebum in our skin, are easily absorbed to nourish and protect skin, are well tolerated, and allow skin to breathe healthily.

Weleda select the very purest and gentlest ingredients that won't irritate delicate skin. Products are thoroughly checked for quality and for effectiveness and, most importantly, for suitability for sensitive skin. The Weleda Baby range is already recommended by 70% of midwives in Germany (Emnid-Studie 2003) and understandably: it's been dermatologically-tested not just on healthy skin, but also on easily-irritated skin that is prone to dermatitis and eczema. This means the range is also ideal for older children or adults who have to take special care of their skin.
